It is understood that the set of road lighting energy-saving automatic monitoring system can realize remote control, telemetry, remote communication, remote adjustment and other functions. If the street lamp in a certain road section fails, the street lamp remote measurement and control terminal RTU will send an alarm and show the fault on the electronic map of the street lamp in the computer. The maintenance personnel can be directly notified to the faulty road section for maintenance through the central control room.

It is reported that this set of street lamp intelligent control system has remarkable energy-saving effect, because the installed GPS satellite positioning system can accurately calculate the time of sunrise and sunset. In addition, this set of system is equipped with light controller and time controller, which can remotely switch on and off the lights in time when it is dark and bright, so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving. It is reported that after the operation of the system, the lighting rate of the whole city can be controlled at more than 98%, and the energy saving is as high as 19.2%.
